Rodin Postcard – Nichole

Rodin Postcard – Nichole

This is a common project for Graphic Design I students. They are asked to create a modern and/or abstract landscape picture for a postcard advertising an Art Walk for Rodin Art Gallery. They are limited to only black, white, and one other color. The artwork is not to look realistic so that it contrasts with the art shown in the actual event.

Nichole Atwood

Class & Project:

Graphic Design I – Rodin Postcard

Software:

Illustrator CS5

Year:

Fall 2011

The feature that sets Nichole’s postcard apart is that it has a more cropped view than what we have seen with other Rodin Postcards. Instead of seeing the entire tree we see a few branches. The soft color adds the pop and the elegant Zapfino font used in very limited quantities finish the piece off.
